This is Palm Pepito, world’s smallest phone with smallest battery

While the world is moving towards the bigger the better formula in the context of smartphones, there is one company that still wants to hold on to smaller phones and is apparently also creating world’s smallest phone with the smallest battery.

Palm, the company that last released its phone in the year 2011, is planning a comeback with a device which will probably be world’s smallest phone with smallest battery. According to a report from Android Police, the phone has been codenamed “Pepito” and is under works.

Images of the new Palm Pepito that have surfaced online reveal a small phone with a 3.3-inch display with 720p resolution and a small form factor. The device is rumoured to be an Android device. The phone is reportedly on its way to the smartphone market. There is no word on its availability yet but it is rumoured to launch in the US first through the Verizon.

The phone not just comes with the smallest screen size but also the smallest battery size of 800mAh. Withe such small size of the phone, it is not possible to fit in a large size battery inside. This also means that you should not expect the phone to be an all-day runner.

The phone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. There could possibly be more storage variants depending on the region. Further the phone will run Android 8.1 Oreo and will sell in titanium and gold colour options.

The new Palm Pepito when launched will compete against Zanco Tiny t1 which is also touted to be world’s tiniest phone. The Tiny t1 comes with an even smaller screen size of just 0.41-inch. However, the Zanco Tiny t1 is a ‘talk and text mobile phone’ with no internet browsing or gaming. It only allows you to text and make calls. On the other hand, the Palm Pepito is expected to be a proper smartphone with options to run internet on it.
